Once upon a time feminism encouraged women to work the jobs they wanted and wear what they wanted. It's 2018 and those times have long disappeared. Like Rosie O'Donnell's neck. Instead of fighting for womanly freedoms, feminists are now actually slamming them as if they were a family size bag of Cheese Puffs. It's not been great for their victims. Just ask these gals, who are now out of a job thanks to feminist social pressures.

'Grid girls' will no longer be used by Formula 1 from the start of the 2018 World Championship season.

"While the practice of employing grid girls has been a staple of Formula 1 grands prix for decades, we feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms," [Managing director Sean] Bratches added.

"We don't believe the practice is appropriate or relevant to Formula 1 and its fans, old and new, across the world."

Grid girls are the scantily clad ladies who prance around the track doing promotional tasks. They're also the antithesis of modern feminism, because 1) they commit sins like shaving their legs and 2) they use their beauty to make money. How dare they objectify themselves of their own volition.

The worst part of all this is the grid girls themselves are not happy to be losing their jobs. Obviously. They disagree with the whinage.

Charlotte Gash is a part-time grid girl, who says she is "disgusted" with F1's decision.

"It's upsetting and I'm rather disgusted that F1 have given in to the minority to be politically correct," Gash told BBC Radio 5 live.

"I'm one of the lucky ones that I don't rely on this as a main source of income, but there are girls out there who do.

"I know the grid girls are there to look pretty when they're out on the grid but my role was interacting with the crowd and we were there as an advertisement for the sponsors. We love doing it we don't want it taken away from us."

Looks like the feminist, gender-nonconforming white knight is saving an unwilling princess. She doesn't consent to losing her career in the name of equality. But that matters not to feminists.

Here's what the haughty heifers themselves have to say about the whole deal:

The Women's Sport Trust said in a statement: "We strongly encourage sports such as cycling, boxing and UFC to follow darts and Formula 1 and reconsider the use of podium girls, ring girls and octagon girls.

"This is not a matter of feminists versus models, which seems to be the way many people want to portray this story.

"These changes are taking place because global businesses are making a considered choice about how women should be valued and portrayed in their sports in 2018. They deserve significant credit for doing so."

Notice how the organization makes it clear they aren't against models. Yet their actions say otherwise. Guilty conscience mayhaps. If feminists didn't have a vested interest in stomping all over attractive women with their cloven hooves, you'd think they'd just stop. Simple solution.

Alas, this is where we're at instead. In an ironic twist of fate, these hateful broads have managed to expose the real war on women: feminism itself.
