Bernie Sanders is becoming somewhat of a feminist icon, what with the whole "abortion anytime, anywhere" comments he's made. He's also a real ambassador for the people... Well, the ones outside the womb. Unfortunately for Bernie's dewey-eyed followers, Bernie is a massive hypocrite. Mostly when it comes to how he spends his money (read IRONY ALERT: Bernie Sanders is One Cheap Tipper).

A new report by Jezebel today looks at the gender and pay stats among the campaign staffs of our stunning primary candidates. The numbers aren't stellar - in fact, they're even worse than we imagine. Who knew! Bernie Sanders, he of socialist fame, comes out worst in Jezebel's report, especially considering his insistence that he is a candidate for the people. Of the top ten highest-paid staffers on his payroll, none are women.

Uh oh, Bernie. Not paying your women the same as men? For seriously? Didn't you realize how that would look? I can't wait for all the social justice cannibals to get their hands on this information...

It all makes sense now. He needs women to have free abortions so they can keep working... in his employ. For cheap. Someone has to make up for that pay gap, it certainly won't be the men. They're earning Bernie's top dollar. Speaking of Bernie and earning (almost sounds like "Bert and Ernie"), guess what? Bernie Sanders didn't earn a paycheck until he was forty. Maybe he's trying to pass along that hard lesson to the chicas who work for him. Or maybe he just has them around to make him sandwiches.

Maybe he's just saving the women's money for them. Because he does seem to be keen on saving his own money. But shhhhhh, don't tell his legion of voters. They think he's all about sharing is caring.

Okay, let's just come out and say it. People are allowed to hire whoever they darn well please for however much those people are worth. We at LWC have never taken issue with anyone paying anyone else what they're worth, regardless of gender. What we're doing here is pointing out major hypocrisy. Bernie Sanders' entire campaign is about "fairness" and "equality," where wealth is shared, everyone plays on the same field and FEMINISM. Yet here's Bernie giving more money to the men.

So let him put his money where his crusty, spittling mouth is. I'm sure he could find some women out there to give a six figure salary to. Why not? Some young, struggling single mother probably needs the money to support her children. Aren't those the people Bernie "feminist" Sanders fights for?

Oh, right. Those are, technically, the people he'll "fight" for. Meaning, given the power to, he'll campaign for their right to equality... But you'll be financing that campaign. Whether or not you want to. Don't worry, he's got it all figured out in his tax plan. Spoiler alert: everyone pays more. Including you ladies who aren't being paid as much as the men in Bernie's staff. Sorry...
