While Border Patrol agents struggle to keep up with Biden’s alien invasion at the southern border, agents have also seized enough fentanyl to kill the entire U.S. population several times over, this fiscal year.

Border Patrol chief Jason Owens said Tuesday on X that agents seized more than 40,000 pounds of marijuana, 13,000 pounds of meth, 11,000 pounds of cocaine, and 2,700 pounds of fentanyl. And that is for only drugs found between ports of entry, not at official crossings.

There were more than 230,000 migrant encounters at the southern border in August, and that number does not look like it will be slowing down anytime soon.

Border Patrol sources told Fox News on Monday that they recorded 11,000 illegal crossings over the previous 24 hours, "the single highest day in recent memory."

Officials also told Fox News that large groups of migrants are creating a distraction for cartels to move contraband like fentanyl into areas that are unpatrolled by agents – who are busy processing migrants.

Fentanyl is up to 100 times stronger than morphine, not expensive to make, and often cut into other drugs, which is why users aren’t aware they are taking it a lot of the time.

This is just the fentanyl they seized, can you imagine how much more actually got into the country?

In 2021, the most recent year for which complete data is available, 48,830 people died from gun-related injuries in the U.S., according to the CDC. Also in 2021, 106,699 drug overdose deaths occurred in the U.S.

Drug related deaths far exceed gun related deaths but we never hear progressives say anything about closing the border. Instead, they open the floodgates while they cry about gun control.

But the real reason the left refuses to connect the dots between the fentanyl and border crises is because then they would have to admit that we have an open border.

So what is the progressive solution to solve the fentanyl crisis? Just carry Narcan. No big deal.

New York’s latest advice to combat the fentanyl crisis is for everyone to carry Narcan. The Health Department made the recommendation after a 2-year-old boy was killed by fentanyl at a daycare in the Bronx. The city also reported a 12% jump in overdose deaths last year.

Health Commissioner Ashwin Vasan said at a press conference after the toddlers drug death, “You should be carrying Narcan right now."

“Narcan has to be everywhere,” Vasan said. “We have defibrillators behind every bar, in every business, in every public event. Increasingly, we have epinephrine pens, EpiPens, in public settings.

Right, because a fentanyl overdose is totally the same thing as an allergic reaction to peanuts.

What she really meant to say was that they are not going to do anything to stop this. You must accept that this is inevitable, just like a peanut allergy.

“Any time you see someone, walking past them, who looks like they might not be conscious, who might not be breathing, who might look more sleepy or tired than usual, think overdose, think opioid intoxication and think fentanyl,” she said.

These are the same officials who placed drug-themed vending machines in the city.

Which is reportedly a huge hit with the drug addicts who cleaned out all the crack pipes within 24 hours.

The crisis at the southern border and the fentanyl problem are obviously directly related. It is literally a massive port of entry for these people.

But the left wants you to surrender to the problem they caused and just carry around Narcan as a cop-out.

"Just say no" has turned into "just carry a pen."
