According to The Hill:

Judge Mark Walker ruled that the current system violates both the First and 14th Amendments. More than 1.5 million Floridians are currently unable to vote due to the state policy to permanently disenfranchise convicted felons. Felons in the state currently must apply to have their voting rights considered, after a waiting period of five years from their prison release.

Floridians will instead vote in November on a proposed amendment to the state constitution that would bar the practice and must get 60 percent of the vote to pass.

"Florida strips the right to vote from every man and woman who commits a felony," Walker wrote. "To vote again, disenfranchised citizens must kowtow before a panel of high-level government officials over which Florida's governor has absolute veto authority. No standards guide the panel. Its members alone must be satisfied that these citizens deserve restoration."

Each crime is different. Thus the rulings to restore criminal ballots are more unique than a blob-shaped feminist in a tan spandex onesie. The judge above, however, does not believe in this effective process. No, Billy Bob must be on the fast track to getting his voting rights as soon as he leaves his jailed male-teen lover.

Statistics show criminal Americans, adverse amigos, and peoples allergic to work all vote progressively. It's to Billy Bob's interest to have a massive government providing him benefits. Of course, his voting patterns shouldn't be the reason why he's not allowed to vote. His tendency to violate the law should be why he can't vote. It's simple, really.
