During the month of June, there were way too many videos of little kids being exposed to half-naked adults gyrating in front of them and for the "entertainment" of the little kids and their parents, no less. Their parents, who took them to adult bars to expose them to these lewd performances. It sounds like if not illegal, it should at least go against local ordinances and be something the state investigates. Finally, one state is, and, of course, it's Ron DeSantisland.

Breitbart is reporting that the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) served a complaint Tuesday on R House Miami. R House offers drag shows to children and "was recently featured in viral videos showing a topless drag queen attempting to entertain a young girl." If found in violation of any number of local codes and regulations, the state can take away its liquor license and essentially put it out of business.

Now, because Ron DeSantis is on one side of the issue, the media has to rally around the other side by default. Spokeswoman Christina Pushaw wanted the media to know exactly what they are supporting. She said in a tweet, "Now that Governor DeSantis has announced that the state has investigated this bar and initiated the procedure to take away their license, Florida media activists will scramble to defend this. Just think it's important for you all to see what they defend!"

She then shared this video of the incident in question.

Please note how Twitter marks this allegedly wholesome entertainment as "potentially sensitive." It's a video of a grown man wearing nothing but a thong bottom and exposed fake boobs, prancing up and down an aisle while holding a little girl's hand. The girl barely looks older than three. The adult has dollar bills sticking out of his thong like you would see at a strip club. Unclear is if the parent taking the video would find their three-year-old on stage with a female stripper dressed (or undressed) the same way as fun or "expression" or freedom. Maybe the fake boobs being installed by a surgeon vs. being worn as an accessory makes a difference to them.

The irony is there were so many examples during June, when I first read the story I thought they meant this performance:

The investigation into R House is still ongoing. Now that DeSantis' potential 2024 opponent Joe Biden is out of isolation, it will be curious to see if Biden speaks out on the issue. Or if the people who control Joe Biden allow him to do so, since most of them side with the dancers.
