With the chaos in Charlotte (see Surprise! HUGE Percentage of Charlotte, NC Rioters? From Out of State... an Narrative BUSTED: Dash Cam Video Allegedly Reveals Keith Scott Had a Gun...), you would think a guy giving free hugs wouldn't be controversial. Yet this is 2016.

And I'm sure to no one's surprise, rioters responded in the exact way you'd expect them to (hint, with a lot of cussing, racial slurs, sexual slurs, and a few new slurs they made up on the spot).

But Nwadike wasn't having it.

“The thing is,” Nwadike explained, “I see them as human beings, just like I see everybody on this side as human beings.”

“His uniform doesn’t make him a robot,” he said, pointing at the collection of police officers behind him. “Just like your uniform — your skin color — doesn’t make you a criminal, and that’s what I need people to understand.”

“This [police officer] gave me a hug and [this protester] wants to fight me because of that,” he continued. “How does that make sense? We’re spreading more hate into the world, and that’s what’s frustrating me. We can’t love one another? It doesn’t make sense.”

Amen to that.

Ken E. Nwadike, Jr. is founder of the Free Hugs Project, whose mission is to “spread love, inspire change and raise awareness of social issues through motivational videos.” Nwadike is also black, and in the middle of a riot, walked up to one of the police officers and gave him a hug. The officer hugged him back. Spoiler, cops aren't jerks.

Here's another spoiler: rioters are, in fact, jerks. As the video shows. So here's a guy trying to actually spread the message of love and tolerance, while the "peaceful" crapweasels berate him for trying to spread love and tolerance. Remind me again who's racist and who wants unity? It can get so confusing.

What does this tell us? Nothing we didn't already know. These rioters are not interested in harmony or unity. They're interested in discord, chaos, anarchy, and woe betide anyone who stands in their way trying to bring peace. Let that be a lesson to you. Not that you needed it.

Truth is, Black Lives Matters and their ilk? Don't care about facts or peace. They care about hating cops. Deeply.
