Florida Man Arrested After Throwing Fried Chicken At Sister In Hangry Assault

We have all been guilty of saying and doing things when we are hangry that we later regret. The only difference with this story is that people don’t usually get charged with domestic battery for it.
A Florida man was arrested for a hungry temper tantrum that left his sister with some crumbs and grease on her shoulder after two pieces of fried chicken were thrown at her. And I think everyone can agree that the arrest was justified on the sole grounds that he wasted perfectly good food…
We have all been there. You come home from a long day of work after being so busy you couldn't find time to eat. Subsequently, all you want is some Churches Chicken. But then your sister has THE NERVE to serve you two pieces that no one would have wanted. And in a moment lapse of hangry judgment, you fling those two pieces of poultry at your sister to teach her a lesson, with one actually landing on her shoulder. This leaves crumbs on her shirt and a grease stain that will likely never come out.
OBVIOUSLY, the man was arrested for “domestic battery.”
Although no outlets have provided a picture of the actual assault weapon, we have enough of a description to conclude it likely was similar to this:
While the siblings were exchanging words, Mr Medley allegedly grabbed a bag of chicken from the victim and began hurling the chicken at her.
One piece of the fried chicken struck the victim in the back and left debris of food on her shoulders, the affidavit claims.
While officers were interviewing Mr Medley, he admitted to throwing two pieces of fried chicken at his sister, one of which hit her.
He told the officers the reason for the assault was rather simple, it was because “he had not eaten and did not want the piece of chicken the victim offered him, so he became upset.”
Yes, the officers really used the word “victim.”
Usually, I would never condone battery, but after reviewing the evidence it appears the suspect was justified in throwing the fried chicken.
Jokes aside, it’s unclear what compelled the officers to think this was worthy of an arrest, but I assume this must have really pissed off his sister. And technically, you cannot throw things at people even if it’s fried chicken. Hopefully, the charges are dropped because this man does not deserve a battery charge on his record for a petty sibling dispute.
That said, this should be a lesson to everyone to think twice before you pull a stunt like this while you're angry.
