Gal Gadot claps back against Alyssa Milano-led anti-Israel open letter, teams with celebs to denounce Hamas
Please know that everyone here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website acknowledges the absurdity of celebrities, celebrity open letters, and celebrity open letters to Joe Biden. But it's rare that there are rival groups of celebrities on opposite sides, clapping back at each other. I can't be the only one who feels the Gal Gadot-led "open letter" denouncing Hamas and calling for hostages to be returned is a response to the Alyssa Milano-led anti-Israel one.
The Milano Celebs followed the usual script. Ignore the terrorist attack against Israel. Imply both sides are at fault. Cite statistics that came from Hamas. Demand both sides cease fire and/or Israel not defend itself. Gadot, in the open letter posted to her Instagram page, at the very least acknowledges this time is different than all the other times Israel was told to show restraint.
Who is at fault was front and center:
220 innocent people remain captive by terrorists, threatened with torture and death. They were taken by Hamas in the savage massacre of October 7, where 1400 Israelis were slaughtered - women raped, families burned alive, and infants beheaded.
Unfortunately for Team Gadot, this letter was drafted earlier than Monday afternoon. It gets a little ahead of itself:
Thank you [Joe Biden] for your unshakable moral conviction, leadership, and support for the Jewish people...
Monday, the White House made the political calculation to no longer talk about antisemitism. Instead, the real issue is Islamophobia. Sure, people are celebrating Hamas in the streets, terrorizing Jewish college and high school students, and calling for the annihilation of Israel. But people have been mean to Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib so the White House is changing their focus.
In fact, if you ask the Joe Biden White House about the rampant antisemitism being committed by progressives who support the Joe Biden White House, Karine Jean-Pierre has no idea what you're talking about.
Even still, it's refreshing to hear celebrities acknowledge there is a clear bad guy here. Though it's Hollywood, the motives for signing are still in question. Could people have signed Gadot's letter because they know right from wrong and that Hamas is the bad guy? Sure. They could have also been advised to sign because their agents stuck their fingers in the air and saw which way the wind was blowing this time.
Whatever the reason, signing a letter that calls out Hamas for heinous terror attacks is still better than signing a letter that glosses over them and throws in "yeah, but Israel too."
