If you could bottle the lack of self-awareness among Democrats, it could be harnessed into an alternative energy source. It's remarkable, but Democrats only talk to their aides, and their aides only talk to ultra-woke dinkuses on Twitter. It's how we wind up stuck with Joey's failed policies. And it's how dingbats like Sen. Debbie Stabenow can say such dingbattery out loud and not realize the dingbattishness of it.

Americans are struggling with record-high gas prices. One administration had cheaper gas, and this administration has more expensive gas. Stabenow doesn't care about those record-high gas prices because she drives past gas stations in her luxury vehicle.

“I do have to say, just on the issue of gas prices, after waiting for a long time to have enough chips in this country to finally get my electric vehicle. I got it and drove it from Michigan to here this last weekend and went by every single gas station, and it didn’t matter how high it was.”

Well good for Debbie. She can afford a luxury car. Now let's check in on her Michigan constituents.

In a battleground state like Michigan, the ads so easily write themselves it makes me want to get back into the political consulting hustle. Thirty seconds. Start with Joe Biden bragging about high gas prices. Throw in an elitist celebrity mocking Americans concerned about high prices. The next clip is the White House telling Americans the hurting would stop if they all bought new cars they can't afford. End with Debbie Stabenow bragging that not only do gas prices not matter to her, but she also scoffs at them as she drives past the signs.

Flash forward to Election night 2022 as CNN and MSANBC are blaming -isms, -phobias, and misinformation for why Democrats got molly whopped out of power. But hey, at least Debbie Stabenow doesn't need to concern herself with high gas prices!
