In 2019, California Governor Gavin Newsom pledged to take care of the forests so that, if there were a wildfire, it wouldn't burn Los Angeles to the ground. Fast forward five years. There's no water in the hydrants. There were woke excuses NOT to effectively manage the fires. And the LA fire department was more concerned about what marginalized boxes they could check off than they were about their ability to fight fires.

An angry citizen had the opportunity to confront Gavin about this, and he did what any other leader would do. He took out his phone and pretended to be talking to the President of the United States.

If you were to round up every d*ck you can find in Topanga Canyon and throw them into a bag, it would not be big enough for Newsom to choke on.

The conversation went a little something like this.

CITIZEN: Hey, Newscum. My neighborhood just burned to the ground. Are you happy? What are you going to do about it?

NEWSOM: I'm on the phone with the President of the United States right now.

CITIZEN: Trump?

NEWSOM: No, the other guy.

CITIZEN: Great. Put him on speakerphone.

NEWSOM: Well, I don't "have him" have him on the phone yet. But I'm trying!

I'm surprised Gavin didn't mumble "ring ring" under his breath and then say he had to answer his phone.

And the incompetence keeps rolling in, even as I write this.

There needs to be a serious come Jesus (or whatever deity or deities they are legally allowed to worship in LA) over how readily incompetent leadership is. It won't come from the media. The media has already settled on blaming Trump and climate change, and not progressive policies because "it's complicated."

It needs to come from us, and it needs to come from the voters. Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass need to be held responsible for their incompetence and where their priorities lie. It sure as hell is not with the American citizens who put them into office.
