Gavin Newsom Signs New Law REQUIRING Gender-Neutral Bathrooms In Schools
The most important thing right now for progressives in California is coming up with new bathroom laws.
All California public schools will be required to provide gender-neutral bathrooms under a law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Saturday.
Public schools teaching first through 12th grade must have at least one gender-neutral bathroom available for students by 2026.
You know, because first graders can choose their gender.
The bill was inspired in regards to an attempt by Chino Valley Unified to restrict students from entering the wrong bathroom or locker rooms.
The state already requires K-12 public schools to allow students to use the opposite bathroom. But progressives have now expanded that law to require another gender-neutral restroom.
Because we have a crisis of not having enough bathrooms.
Can we at least have a bathroom for normal people as well?
And the dumbest thing about this is that gender-neutral literally just means co-ed. Anyone who has ever been to a gas station knows that these have been a thing for a very long time.
It is not like there has ever been a bathroom that says “NO TRANYS.”
What is the point of all this besides virtue signaling?
I guess they could always just add a porta potty in the back.
But the gender bender coercion does not stop there.
One bill, also signed Saturday, requires “LGBTQ cultural competency training” for teachers and staff. Another new law requires foster care families to “demonstrate an ability and willingness to meet the needs of a child, regardless of the child’s sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.”
“California is proud to have some of the most robust laws in the nation when it comes to protecting and supporting our LGBTQ+ community, and we’re committed to the ongoing work to create safer, more inclusive spaces for all Californians,” Newsom said in a statement. “These measures will help protect vulnerable youth, promote acceptance, and create more supportive environments in our schools and communities.”
California will also have an advisory task force to advance LGBT supportive initiatives because that is their biggest priority right now. It is not like crime or drug addicts are taking over the state.
Why worry about smash and grabs when we have more than enough trans drama-rama to worry about?
And do not let Newsom gaslight you into making you think he is a moderate by not signing AB 957, which aimed to require courts to take into account whether a parent "affirms" a child's "gender identity or gender expression" in determining custody.
The governor said in a statement that he appreciates the "passion and values" behind the bill and that he shares a "deep commitment to advancing the rights of transgender Californians, an effort that has guided my decisions through many decades in public office."
"That said, I urge caution when the Executive and Legislative branches of state government attempt to dictate -in prescriptive terms that single out one characteristic -legal standards for the Judicial branch to apply," Newsom said. "Other-minded elected officials, in California and other states, could very well use this strategy to diminish the civil rights of vulnerable communities."
"Moreover, a court, under existing law, is required to consider a child's health, safety, and welfare when determining the best interests of a child in these proceedings, including the parent's affirmation of the child's gender identity," he added.
Nothing Newsom did on Saturday was ‘moderate.’
What he really meant to say was "I agree with this bill and would have signed it, but I might be a last minute primary pick for Democrats and I have to appear more moderate."
Or if anything, the bill was probably not radical enough.
