A 2016 clip of World Economic Forum (WEF) linked bioethicist Matthew Liao, who is the Director of the Center of Bioethics at New York University, has surfaced showing him encouraging genetically modifying humans.

Liao said that humans need to stop eating meat to save the planet. The rub is humans enjoy eating meat too much. HOWEVER, if people could be genetically modified to stop eating meat, it could be an option. Then he got oddly specific:

"Possibly, we could use human engineering to make it the case we're allergic to certain kinds of meat, certain kinds of bovine protein. There's this thing called the 'Lonestar Tick' where if it bites you, you will become allergic to meat. That's something we can do through human engineering."

He's hardly the first Leftist to call for humans to stop eating meat:
