Leftism is a religious cult. It has its own rituals, sacraments, original sin, and its own saints. And while the left has been satisfied with creating their own religion using others as templates, it seems time to start cannibalizing others.

The Catholic church has not been immune from the leftist scourge. The Pope himself has paid lip service to leftist positions for some time now, expressing support for gun control, pushing climate change alarmism, and criticizing American immigration policy. But God, help me if this isn't the most egregiously blasphemous thing I've heard of in possibly my entire life.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, "The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., has reportedly displayed a painting that depicts George Floyd as Jesus Christ in two locations on campus."

The painting titled "Mama"—a reference to some of the last words Floyd spoke before his death—depicts Floyd as Jesus after being taken from the cross, laying in the arms of the Virgin Mary.

But this move, unlike many of those taken at universities around the country, has not been spurred on by student activism. While the president of the university fawns over the painting, some students are voicing distinct opposition to the installations.

"The icon has no place at The Catholic University of America; it is blasphemous and an offense to the Catholic faith, but it is not surprising at all that it was put there… It is just another symptom of the liberalization and secularization of our campus… There are many students, faculty, and staff who are concerned about this, but there is nothing we can do… And if we sound the alarm, we will be labeled racists."

But this is exactly what we must fight against. Left unchecked, the left will continue to destroy all of the institutions of the west. Our schools have fallen. The government is in constant peril of being swallowed whole. And our churches, our faiths are now under direct attack. This cannot be allowed to stand.

And this isn't just a Catholic issue. This should be the concern of every person of faith regardless of creed. The left gives no quarter as it seeks to destroy everything in its path.
