Germany is trying to catch up to Australia in the totalitarian Olympics. They’re a few medals behind but gaining ground quickly. “Show me your papers,” is not a good look for Germans, you know what I mean. It just has some bad vibes to it. Maybe some kind of callback.

Well, this man isn’t having it. At a protest in Germany, one man let the goosestepping polizei know exactly what he thought of their mandates, restrictions, and the enforcement thereof.

I don’t even speak German, but that statement is pretty clear to anyone. And as if the polizei couldn’t help themselves, they detain him! They prove him right! And this might be the scariest part for our friends across the Atlantic: their authoritarian masters don’t care if you notice what they’re doing. They don’t care if their citizens don’t like being stepped on. They’re going to do whatever they feel like doing.

I bet all those Europeans are kicking themselves for giving up their firearms. When Germany decides to start exporting their fascism, I’m sure they’ll start lamenting it more.

We’re going into 2022, guys. Adolf Hitler became the leader of the Nazi Party in 1921. I’m not comparing the situation in which we find ourselves to the Holocaust. We’re definitely not there—yet. What I am saying is that we are literally going to see the rise of totalitarian states in Europe, Australia, and North America only 100 short years after we should have learned this lesson. Do we really need to learn it again?
