... The perfect crap-storm.

"Oh my god..."

It would appear that because of the crime wave sweeping Germany (since Angela Merkel welcomed all those nice-old Syrian Refugees through the front door), Germans are now arming themselves in record numbers.

Well, arming themselves as best they can...

“Germans, facing an influx of more than one million asylum seekers from Africa, Asia and the Middle East, are rushing to arm themselves,” the report said. “All across Germany, a country with some of the most stringent gun-control laws in Europe, demand is skyrocketing for non-lethal self-defense weapons, including pepper sprays, gas pistols, flare guns, electroshock weapons and animal repellents. Germans are also applying for weapons permits in record numbers.”

“The spike in violent crimes committed by migrants has been corroborated by a confidential police report leaked to a German newspaper,” the report said. “The document reveals that a record-breaking 38,000 asylum seekers were accused of committing crimes in the country in 2014. Analysts believe this figure — which works out to more than 100 crimes a day — is only a fragment: many crimes are not reported.”

Interesting. So, bringing in a lot more people causes an increase in crime, and when you prevent people from carrying a firearm, they'll just find something else? I know what you leftists are thinking...

No, really! That seems to be the statistically observable case here. I wonder if "Moms Demand Action" will note the dramatic up-tick in Pepper-spray accidents.

Something else to note, yes firearms are more lethal than some of the other armaments listed above. Something oft ignored however, is how much safer firearms are (in the hands of a trained owner) than Pepper Spray or stun guns. Again this is statistically observable for a few reasons.

1. Most of these methods are far less reliable. Pepper-spray can be redirected by wind, is much less precise than a bullet and often ends up affecting both parties involved.
2. Often these methods don't work. Most commercial stun-guns for example, are not high voltage enough to guarantee the stopping of the attacker. Even less so if he's under the influence of drugs and or adrenaline
3. Most importantly, guns offer a mechanical advantage for the user. These weapons merely offer a physical one. Meaning that the stronger, more violent party involved usually has the upper hand. A smaller, more fragile woman still has to get close enough to use a stun-gun. An angry, bigger and stronger refugee still has an advantage in wrestling it out of her hand.

All this to say that there's a reason firearms (not rape whistles) are referred to as "the great equalizer." The only thing capable of making a smaller, weaker woman, stronger than a man... is a gun. It's the only self-defense tool that, when placed in the hands of a trained individual, can virtually guarantee the upper hand.

But Germany doesn't want that. They'd rather their citizens sit defenseless as terrorists flood through their borders. Maybe they can overtake Sweden as the rape capital of the west! No really, they've officially have earned that title thanks to Islamic immigrants. All in the name of "tolerance."

This is precisely why the Second Amendment exists. To ensure the liberty and safety of citizens even in the face of a tyrannical, out of control government. They don't even necessarily have to be fighting the government, just capable of taking care of their own.
