GERMANY: Student Refuses Handshake with Female Principal. Because Islam?
Germany and Islam are becoming synonymous with one another. Sounds like an odd pairing, right? That's because it is. Truthfully, they're pretty incompatible - and that's not speculation on our end. Just peruse any of these examples. Or peep the story below. The cultures are such polar opposites that they can't even have a graduation ceremony together.
[A Muslim] student... was initially approached by his class mistress at an end-of-year graduation ceremony for A students. She offered to shake his hand to congratulate him on successfully passing exams, but he refused... In a private conversation, the boy explained to the teacher that he meant no insult, but could not do otherwise due to religious restrictions. The situation became more serious, however, when after the first handshake misunderstanding, the same student refused to shake hands with the school's principal, who is also a woman. School staff members witnessed the incident and were offended by it. Teachers... stormed out of [the] graduation ceremony.
Have to allow room for the ghost of Muhammad
Seems like it was an uncomfortable situation for everybody involved. Have to admit, I feel for the student. It's not like he commenced the celebration with a block of C-4 and jihadi-style fireworks. Which... let's be honest, wouldn't be all that surprising considering Islam's track record (see Outrage Ensues After Student Arrested For Bringing 'Bomb' To School. Turns Out Student Was Muslim And 'Bomb' Was A Clock). He simply couldn't shake hands with a woman. Nobody would bat an eyelash at that in Pakistan. But in Germany, things work differently. Because freedom and stuff (even if that freedom is limited).
See, the issue here isn't necessarily the boy - it's the religion which undermines the boy's free will. That's why the teachers' frustration is justified. It doesn't come down to the handshake. Seriously, it's just a handshake. The world will keep spinning. I'll simplify it even more: it's not that the student didn't want to. It's the fact that he can't. All for fear of being branded an infidel by his Muslim peers... Because killing infidels is sort of their thing.
And no, "moderate" Islam isn't really a thing. Get yourself some facts, stat.
