"Burn in hell": Gold star moms blast Biden's heartless faux empathy, calling one mother by the wrong name

Any criticism of Joe Biden, the "imagine the media reaction if he was a Republican" is baked into it. It's almost hackery to bring it up. But I do wonder if two years after a terror attack cost us the lives of thirteen service members those gold star families were still disgusted at a Republican president, how different the media outrage would be.
On August 26, 2021, thirteen American service members were killed in a terrorist attack in Kabul. Critics point to it as the most tragic example of Joe Biden's incompetent and disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal. By "critics," I mean anyone not employed by the White House. Or employed by corporate media, which is more or less the same thing.
I guess to ABC News's credit, they let three gold star mothers share their stories. Christy Shamblin (mother-in-law to Sgt. Nicole Gee), Kelly Barnett (mother of Staff Sgt. Darin Hoover), and Coral Briseno (mother to Cpl. Humberto Sanchez). It's the first time we've heard from the three, though Staff Sgt. Hoover's dad Darin has been outspoken.
It's all the usual hits: Biden made everything about his son Beau dying and not about the sons and daughters who were just killed in the terror attack, and they were all disgusted by Biden callously checking his watch during the dignified transfer. It is why Mrs. Barnett's daughter screamed, "burn in hell."
Though confusing "Lopez" for "Sanchez" is a new one. Her son was killed in a terror attack, and Biden couldn't be bothered to remember her name.
Biden's heartless response is an all-too-common refrain we've heard from other Gold Star families. The family of Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum made the trip in 2021 but did not want to meet the man they blamed for their son being killed. Jiennah, Rylee's widow who was pregnant at the time, agreed to meet with the president and regrets doing so. Biden was more interested in talking about his son than her husband.
Shana Chappell, mother to Lance Corporal Kareem Nikoui, had a similar experience. "He interrupted me and started talking about HIS son...This isn't about your son. This is about MY son."
Mark Schmitz, father to Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, says Biden got snippy at him when he called out the president for making it about his son and not the sons and daughters who were victims of the attack.
