Of Course! Colorado Governor Pardons Violent Illegal Immigrant to Avoid Deportation...
Ever since Trump took office, we've been on a roll with sending the illegals back to their haciendas south-of-the-border. Naturally, the left has fought this push, kicking and screaming like spoiled children the entire way. But now, they're taking this pro-illegal push to new heights. Like with this little gem. Jim Hickenlooper, funny name-haver and Governor of Colorado, thought it appropriate to pardon a criminal illegal to spare him from being sent back home. Not joking, homes...
Colorado’s governor issued a controversial pardon Friday to stop the deportation of a convicted armed robber to Cuba but the district attorney whose office prosecuted the man questions its validity.Gov. John Hickenlooper, a Democrat, says that with the pardon he has done everything he can to keep Rene Lima-Marin, 38, in the U.S.
He came to the U.S. as a toddler as part of the 1980 Mariel boat lift from Cuba and had legal residency until it was revoked following his 2000 criminal conviction. Lima-Marin was sentenced to 98 years in prison for the robbery. But he was mistakenly paroled from Colorado state prison in 2008.
Mistakenly paroled? Your government at work, folks.
Lima-Marin married, had a child and got a steady job installing glass before state authorities realized their mistake in 2014 and sent him back for the remainder of his 98-year prison sentence.“Law-abiding, very successful, constructive member of society,” Hickenlooper said after issuing the pardon Friday, the station reported. “It’s a remarkable story.”
Law-abiding and constructive...except for the part where he committed armed robbery.
Immigration authorities picked Lima-Marin on deportation order from 2000 that was still active. His lawyers said a pardon was the only way to block the deportation.
It's worth pointing out that the bandito originally had a legal status. But, that all went out the window the moment he decided to become Scarface and started robbing people. After being paroled, he should have done the right thing and carried his criminal culo back down to Havana, instead of starting a familia. But, now he's in this predicament...
It's also worth noting that had a kraut immigrant committed armed robbery, he would have promptly been grabbed by his lederhosen and tossed out of the good ol' U-S-of-A, faster than you can count to fünf. Commit a crime, like robbery, rape, or murder, and that green card goes bye-bye very quickly, regardless of the immigrant's country of origin.
The fact is the law shouldn't get tossed in the wastebasket simply because a guy has a family. Most citizens have families as well, including the innocent people this ese robbed. This deportation is only one person's fault. I'll give you a hint: it ain't Trump's.
All this homeboy had to do was not be a criminal bag of douche. Then none of this would have happened. But that's the way the burrito unravels.
While we're on the subject...
