Please enjoy video of Greta Thunberg carried away by police for refusing to leave an Antifa autonomous zone
UPDATE: Whoops, turns out it was staged.
On Sunday, courageous activist and notorious truant Greta Thunberg was carried away from a climate-change protest by German police. Greta was at an opencast mine in Lützerath, protesting the expansion of the Garzweiler coal mine. The expansion necessitates the demolition of Luetzerath, an abandoned village.

Greta was forcibly removed for refusing to follow police orders to vacate the area. Some of the activists have reportedly been building treehouses and tunnels to evade capture.
Coinciding with the climate change protests, Antifa is reportedly attempting to set up an autonomous zone in Luetzerath, because of course they are. When have any of their other autonomous zones ever gone wrong?
The police said 70 officers have been injured since last week during clashes with the violent leftists after getting hit with projectiles, stones, mud, and fireworks.
“When police moved in earlier this week to remove violent illegal occupiers at the #Luetzerath autonomous zone in western Germany, they were attacked with firebombs & arson attacks. #Antifa are among the rioters & have been assaulting press as well. https://t.co/QodMS58zKp”— Andy Ngô 🏳️‍🌈 (@Andy Ngô 🏳️‍🌈) 1673433049
It's really unclear what these climate change yahoos are so upset about, given that the village was largely abandoned, and the few residents who had to move were compensated for relocating. Plus, the German government said the coal mine expansion is necessary to offset the gas shortages caused by the Russia-Ukraine war.
Prior to the invasion, Germany was Russia's biggest natural gas customer, getting more than 50% of its natural gas from Russia. Over the summer, Russia cut its gas supply to Germany, claiming repairs were needed on the NordStream 1 pipeline. Then that pipeline mysteriously blew up, leaving Germany in a bit of a pickle. A very dark, chilly pickle.
Germany has been slowly decreasing its energy independence for years, and originally planned to shut down all its nuclear energy plants. However, in light of the war with Russia and the mounting pressure to prevent their citizens from freezing to death, the government decided to keep a few of the nuclear plants running a liiiittle bit longer. How kind of them.
