TOLERANCE: GrubHub CEO tells Trump-Supporting Employees They're Hateful Racists...
What's really impressive is how much the country has come together after this Election (see HILARIOUS: Crazy Anti-Trump Protester Wants Hillary to Sue America! and LOVE TRUMPS HATE: California’s Pro-Hillary Protesters Turn to Rioting, Violence…). Leading the healing is the CEO of GrubHub. He wrote a thoughtful letter to his employees letting them know that if they voted for Donald Trump...they should just quit now because he hates their faces.
If you voted for Donald Trump, you may not feel welcomed at Grubhub. The CEO of the online food delivery service sent a company wide email Wednesday suggesting employees who agree with President-elect Donald Trump’s behaviors and his campaign rhetoric should resign.
“If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here,” wrote Matt Maloney, Co-Founder. “We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team."
Here's that email in full:
SUBJECT: So... that happened... what's next?I'm still trying to reconcile my own worldview with the overwhelming message that was delivered last night. Clearly there are a lot of people angry and scared as the antithesis of every modern presidential candidate won and will be our next president.
While demeaning, insulting and ridiculing minorities, immigrants and the physically/mentally disabled worked for Mr. Trump, I want to be clear that this behavior - and these views, have no place at Grubhub. Had he worked here, many of his comments would have resulted in his immediate termination.
We have worked for years cultivating a culture of support and inclusiveness. I firmly believe that we must bring together different perspectives to continue innovating - including all genders, races, ethnicities and sexual, cultural or ideological preferences. We are better, faster and stronger together.
Further I absolutely reject the nationalist, anti-immigrant and hateful politics of Donald Trump and will work to shield our community from this movement as best as I can. As we all try to understand what this vote means to us, I want to affirm to anyone on our team that is scared or feels personally exposed, that I and everyone else here at Grubhub will fight for your dignity and your right to make a better life for yourself and your family here in the United States.
If you do not agree with this statement then please reply to this email with your resignation because you have no place here. We do not tolerate hateful attitudes on our team.I want to repeat what Hillary said this morning, that the new administration deserves our open minds and a chance to lead, but never stop believing that the fight for what's right is worth it.
Stay strong, Matt
And since the backlash, Mr. Maloney has tried walking it back with this response. Saying he "didn't ask for people who voted Trump to resign."
Again, I'm sure the Trump Campaign appreciates how hard leftists are already working to get him re-elected in 2020. Usually you would at least wait until the guy gets sworn in. But then again, usually you would stop with some of the rhetoric that helped the guy get elected in the first place. A point apparently lost on the mindless zombies parading their hate around for all to see.
Keep it up.
The message from Matt Maloney is loud and clear. Even if you didn't vote for Trump. Did someone in your family? RAAAAAAACIST! If you voted for Trump, you're HATEFUL! So hateful, if you agree with Trump, GET OUT! WE WILL NOT TOLERATE YOU. WE ARE TOLERANT PEOPLE, BUT WON'T TOLERATE YOU!
Did he flat out say "If you voted for Trump, resign"? No. But it's called subtext. Maloney got backlash. He didn't like it. He tried to backpedal.
Too late.
It almost makes me want to start using GrubHub so that I can stop using it.
