No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani has turned hardcore MAGA, and her fans are outraged by it! There is no actual evidence that she is hardcore MAGA. Also, it's less her "fans," as much as a handful of random idiots on the Internet. But it's enough that left-wing tabloids who agree with those idiots are turning it into a thing, so let's talk about it.

We've seen this gameplan before with how lefties turned on Chris Pratt. Stefani has been speaking out about her faith in Christ and doesn't talk about how much she hates Donald Trump. The only thing political she has said of late is that celebrities should dial back on the politics. From there, it's basic Democrat math. Jesus + No Opinion on Trump = January 6th.

Gwen crossed the line by sharing a Tucker Carlson podcast. Tucker had Christian actor Jonathan Roumie on as a guest. Roumie shared a link to the podcast. Stefani shared Roumie's post and said nice things about him.

Stefani didn't do anything scandalous, like endorsing Tucker Carlson or endorsing Alp over Zyn. But you know how it be:

“Gwen as a long time fan you’re making it harder and harder to keep supporting you please don’t platform Tucker Carlson the Russian propagandist good lord,” wrote one X user in response to her praise for Roumie and Carlson’s chat.

Another commentator added, “You honestly need a reality check God this is heartbreaking.”

This part is my favorite. Stefani, who was girl-bossing before girl-bossing was a thing to roll your eyes at, is just acting how her husband, country singer Blake Shelton, wants her to:

“Gwen Stefani seems like one of those girls who just completely absorbs and becomes whatever man she’s with,” added one commentator on X. “Eventually they’ll divorce and she’ll have a ballad about how she lost who she was for him.”

As of this writing, she hasn't tweeted an apology to fans she offended by sharing a tweet from someone who shared a Tucker Carlson tweet, and that she's going to edumacate herself on how to be a better ally. It could be coming, but I'm hopeful it's not. That's why I didn't go with any cheesy No Doubt song title puns. And if we're being honest, "Running" is still a dope song.

My gut tells me this is another example of a cultural shift. That's not to say Stefani is now a hardcore MAGA-American or even a conservative. However, simply the act of a public personality no longer being afraid to agree with someone on the right when they happen to agree and not letting themselves be shamed into apologizing is a considerable change.
