A concerning trend from the past year is the frequency of hammer attacks in the news cycle. Albeit, this is only the second hammer attack I'm aware of, besides the Paul Pelosi fiasco. But I like to keep my hammer attacks to zero, so this is two too many for me.

A 54-year-old hammer-wielding, racial-slur-spewing woman named Judy Ann Kline was charged with three felonies after terrorizing a Missouri family for over a year. Twenty-two-year-old Fatima Suarez, a member of the victimized family, said police only took action after she posted the Ring footage to TikTok. So we are officially in the era where TikTok videos are the only way to garner any sort of attention. Past generations built cathedrals, invented airplanes, and fought Nazis. Ours...spends hours a day dancing on a literal Chinese spyware app. Oh.

The woman appears to believe that Fatima's family is here illegally, screaming, "get the f*** off my property" and explaining that she's an American citizen "unlike you assh*les".

Suarez said Kline had previously broken the glass on the basement door, got inside the house, and banged on the dryer with her hammer. Once she got out of the house, she banged on the front door with the hammer. Police reportedly didn't classify Kline as a "serious persistent offender," despite the concerning hammer-wielding. Kline returned to Fatima's home several times over the next year.

There isn't too much funny in this story, but we can always count on MSNBC's wokeness to bring a smile to our faces. In their report, the narrator states that Fatima's family "identifies as Mexican-descent." I'm assuming this means they are Mexican. But does it also mean we're identifying as races now? Someone may want to give Rachel Dolezal a call. I'm sure she'll be thrilled.
