If you’ve been to the gas station at any point in the past year and a half, you’ve probably noticed the price of gasoline going up. It must be a terrible coincidence that the prices started to climb immediately after Biden took office in 2021. Or perhaps the two are somehow linked. In a hearing before Senate Armed Services Committee on Wednesday, Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm didn’t seem to think so, though.

Granholm is sticking to the same bullsh*t story the White House has stuck to for months, at this point: The price of gasoline is skyrocketing because Putin invaded Ukraine. Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri wasn’t having any of it.

And, of course, her answers are completely ridiculous. “Utter nonsense,” Josh Hawley says, and “insulting” to every American who has more than two brain cells.

How any of the Biden Administration morons can continue to perpetuate the lie that Putin is the reason for gas prices going up starting in 2021 is more than just dishonesty. We can all see when prices at the pump began to rise, and we all remember when inflation started to become a real issue. But the entire administration is engaged in a concerted effort to obfuscate the truth by grabbing hold of any excuse they can at the time.

It's because of COVID. It’s price gouging by greedy corporations. It’s Putin!

But when it comes down to it, Biden’s terrible policies have managed to destroy the energy sector in this country, putting all Americans in a position where they must start choosing between paying to put gasoline in their vehicles to go to work—which provides the wages that keep their families fed—or purchasing food. We already have people skipping meals due to inflation.

Biden has done this. In a calculated fashion—meant to cripple the oil industry and handicap American households—Biden’s policies have done this.

Remember who assisted him come the midterms and 2024. America cannot handle another year under a Democrat-controlled Congress or another four years under a radical leftist president.
