Josh Hawley: New Whistleblower Allegations Reveal Alarming Details About Trump's Secret Service

Not only were the agents tasked with protecting Trump’s life so insanely incompetent that they couldn't even do the most basic functions of their job, but they weren't even Secret Service agents, according to whistleblower allegations.
Josh Hawley has indicated that whistleblowers have come forward “with disturbing new information behind the assassination attempt” and that “the majority of DHS officials were not in fact USSS agents but instead drawn from the department’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).”
Hawley has since sent a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, demanding answers about this “loose” security and “botched rollout” at Trump’s rally.

According to Hawley:
“Whistleblowers who have direct knowledge of the event have approached my office. According to the allegations, the July 13 rally was considered to be a ‘loose’ security event,” wrote Senator Hawley.
“For example, detection canines were not used to monitor entry and detect threats in the usual manner. Individuals without proper designations were able to gain access to backstage areas. Department personnel did not appropriately police the security buffer around the podium and were also not stationed at regular intervals around the event’s security perimeter,” Senator Hawley continued.
According to the letter, Hawley states that having other personnel instead of USSS agents is a crucial factor because “HSI agents were unfamiliar with standard protocols typically used at these types of events, according to the allegations.”
Hawley further claims in the letter that Mayorkas has not cared enough to talk on the phone about the investigation, which I wouldn't expect anything less pathetic coming from him.
As a Member of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which has oversight jurisdiction over your department, I will continue to investigate your department’s role in the staggering security failures on July 13. Unfortunately, your department has not been appropriately forthcoming with Members of Congress—abruptly ending the only call with USSS before most senators could even ask a question. This is completely unacceptable and contrary to the public’s interest in transparency.
None of this is surprising, as even a five-year-old could have predicted what went wrong that day.
The FBI and Secret Service want to hold backroom briefings about the assassination attempt against President Trump.

They identified the shooter one hour before the attempted assassination. Do bureaucrats really expect the American people to roll over and forget about this? History was made that day and it's far from forgettable.
How can we ensure this “botched rollout” never happens again? The rollout was so bad that an innocent person died that day, and it's unclear if these bureaucrats even have the authority to test life-or-death measures like that.
How many, if any, Secret Service agents were actually at the event? Since when can a former president who is entitled to secret service not be given secret service, especially when he's running a presidential campaign?
The failure is so extreme it's hard not to wonder whether malice was involved, and questioning that does not make you a conspiracy theorist.
