I'm sure by now you've seen this little ditty about an Airbnb host canceling someone's reservation because of them being an Asian. But if not, watch the video to get caught up. Yep, there's more to this story than the media covered initially, try to hide your shock and dismay.

An Airbnb host in California has been banned after an Asian American guest claimed her reservation was canceled at the last minute because of her race.

Airbnb spokesman Nick Papas told The Washington Post in an email that the host’s behavior was “abhorrent and unacceptable.” The company has in recent years faced growing complaints of racial discrimination by its hosts.

Dyne Suh, a 25-year-old law student in Riverside, said she and her fiance had been looking forward to a short vacation over Presidents’ Day weekend in Big Bear Lake, a popular ski getaway about two hours by car east of Los Angeles.

Now, is the host a bigot? Seems like it. 100%.

But when you see the actual convo, the bigoted anti-Asian comment was incidental. That is NOT why she wasn't allowed to rent. It even says so in WaPo...

When they were minutes away from the cabin, Suh sent a message to the host through the Airbnb app to let her know they were close and asked how they might pay for adding the two friends to the reservation.

“If you think 4 people and 2 dogs ate getting a room fir $50 a night on big bear mountain during the busiest weekend of the year ..… You are insanely high,” the host texted her, according to Suh’s screenshots of the exchange. The host, identified as “Tami” in the images, also called Suh “a con artist” and canceled the reservation.

Again, is the host a bigot? Sure as hell looks like it. But it's not bigotry to cancel on you when you try changing the terms of the deal AS YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY TO THE RENTAL. Now, Dyne Suh claims she made comments on the arrangement of adding two more people and a dog before driving up. But I see no proof of that anywhere. I checked Dyne Suh's Facebook page, and rechecked the WaPo article for screen captures of the arrangement made ahead of time, or a link to verify that yes, Dyne Suh checked with the host about additional guests ahead of time. Guess what? NO PROOF. The closest evidence I found was in the video itself. But again, no screen capture of a text message.

Which, sorry, seems a little crispy won-ton to me (couldn't help myself). You can see Dyne Suh's avatar isn't exactly Swiss. So the host always knew the customer was Asian. If the host was SO RACIST, why agree to let her rent at all?

So I looked through Dyne Suh's other posts. And this is what I found...

That last one has Dyne Suh wearing a Black lives Matter shirt.

Dyne Suh is the definition of a social justice warrior. She probably sees racism everywhere. Sorry, but I smell a sweet and sour rat (last one, I promise). Again, should the Airbnb host have called Dyne Suh anything other than a customer? Was the host way out of line for going all "I hate foreigners" on someone who wasn't named Skylar Smith? Yes. Does Trump have anything to do with this woman wanting to rent a house? No. If those elusive screen captures of text messages with a written agreement from the host about the additional guests and dogs turn up, and it is shown the host was fine with it, then it won't MATTER if Dyne Suh is a race-bating SJW. Okay? Okay.

But was Dyne Suh maybe, possibly (probably) lying about this ordeal, and perhaps, maybe, possibly (probably) changed the terms of the property rental minutes out from it and that is what set the host off? Sounds more like it, considering the name "Dyne Suh" isn't exactly Swedish, and "Dyne Suh" in a profile picture doesn't look Icelandic. But these days, just scream RACISM and have all the victim doors open, with few questions asked. If any at all.

And not to make excuses here, but the "Asians are cheap/greedy" stereotype is one pushed by comedians. Look it, a video.

So if Dyne Suh here did, in fact, change the rental agreement by wanting to have additional guests and dogs going up to the property for just $50 a night... then claims RACISM when the host denies her should we just call Dyne Suh cheap AND a race-baiting SJW? Asking for a friend.
