Sorry to do this to you today, but it's an important one. Lexi is a 6 year old foster child. This video of her being taken from her family and more importantly, the reasons behind it are going to absolutely ruin your day.

The horrifying scene came days after Rusty and his wife Summer were denied an emergency stay to keep the part-Native American child.

Summer and Rusty raised Lexi for the last five years and spent the last two-and-a-half trying to adopt her with no success.

Lexi, who has only ever know the Pages as her parents, is one-and-a-half per cent Choctaw Native American.

Because of the 'Indian Child Welfare Act' - a federal law passed in the 1970's aimed to protect the best interests of Native American children - she must live with Native American parents and will be placed with her father's relatives.

She was 17 months old when she was removed from the custody of her biological mother, who had a substance abuse problem.

Her biological father, who is Native American, had an extensive criminal history, according to court records cited by the Los Angeles Daily News.

All this, because the girl is one-and-a-half percent Choctaw Native American.

Do you want a better example of why to stand for limited government? This 6 year old has been stripped from her loving family. The only home she's ever known, in fact. She's instead being sent to live with a family full of strangers in another state. She is being denied the love of her adopted family - her real family -  all because of a 40 year old government regulation. One based on bogus identity politics no less.

Jee... It's almost as if there's nobody interpreting or applying these laws according to reality. On the most basic level, they aren't able to use the slightest bit of common sense, assuming they had any in the first place.

It's times like these where you have to consider the role of government and its law. The video above, and all that it entails, is nauseating. This girl is being effectively orphaned by the government without any justifiable reason. She's now going to possibly be exposed to her criminal "father." All for what? A tyrannical law. Because a "Native American" cried at some trash blowing in the wind on a PSA a while back?
