We've already mentioned how Hillary Clinton only became a champion of gay rights when it was convenient for her political career, but based on some recently unearthed emails, it apparently goes deeper than that.

What's funnier here: the fact that she so casually dismisses the progressive cause du jour, or the fact that she does it because she's afraid of Fox News?

Said that she refused to “defend...in front of congress” the decision to drop “mother and father” in State Department usage in favor of gender-neutral terms (like on passports). Clinton reluctantly adds that she could “live with” another descriptor “so long as we retained the presumption of mother and father.” Anything else wouldn’t be worth “facing a huge Fox-generated media storm led by Palin et al.”

This is where the email scandal is really killing Hillary Clinton. Are we going to find a "smoking gun" that shows she was the one who actually ordered the hit on Benghazi? Probably not. Though she did kill a guy.

Her problem will be the emails that make her look like your grandmother who can't figure out how to work the VCR (blue-ray what?), or emails like this that show how cold and calculated all of her "beliefs" are. Where does she stand on the issues that matter most to you? Stick your finger in the mouth then stick it up in the air. Then give yourself a raise, because your predictions will likely be more accurate than those of "pundits" on cable news.

This is the main reason that today's progressive media has tried to dismiss the email scandal. Sure, Benghazi is one of most significant political scandals of our time. But therein lies the beauty. The leftist media knows that it's so big, so significant, that should they choose not to cover it, the alternative outlets shining a light on it can just be dismissed as "conspiratorial."

The Benghazi scandal is too big to be believed.

But if there's a constant drip of emails showing Clinton to be calculated, dishonest, unlikeable, out of touch, those are the things that will really hurt her in a general. The media can't have that. They need to have smiling, "casual" Hillary on their shows to prove to you that, hey, she's just like you! Even to the masses who don't know about Benghazi, the media has a hard job of making Hillary Clinton out to be anything other than a cold, hard... well, you know.

That's a tough sell...
