Hillary on Strangling Carly Fiorina: "Hahahahaha!"
Apparently Hillary Clinton thinks the idea of strangling Carly Fiorina is hysterical. No, seriously. At an event, a presumable voter had this to say about Carly Fiorina. Watch:
A military veteran at an event in New Hampshire told Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton that seeing Republican rival Carly Fiorina on television made him want to “strangle her.” In response, Clinton laughed at the man, saying: “I wouldn’t mess with you.”
Now, of course we don't think Hillary Clinton is responsible for what someone in the audience of her event says. Okay? Okay.
However, we also don't think Carly Fiorina, Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, and so on are responsible for things people in their audience says. When it happens the media's faux outrage meter starts rattling so high we here at LwC are expected to denounce someone. We can only imagine the smug indifference if someone told Hillary that Ben Carson was a black Muslim. Or that he wasn't born in America. Which wouldn't be too far-fetched, considering she started that rumor in the first place.
Keep in mind, when discussing a media double standard, we are talking about the same media who made a week-long controversy over whether Dr. Ben Carson, Yale grad and brain surgeon, ever applied to West Point (watch his epic smackdown at the CNN presser here). The same media who's never even asked about Barack Obama's grades or work history. Like, at all.
Then there's this.
It would be funny if it didn't make us want to strangle somebody. Figuratively speaking, obviously. Because if we even joked about strangling Hillary, which, let's be honest, one does, we'd be denounced as "promoting violence." Or something.
One thing we're peeing our pants in anticipation over is seeing how Carly Fiorina responds to the Hillary Cackle of strangulation death. We think Fiorina will be a bit more clever in her response other than the evil laughter, don't you think?
