Portland is the stinkhole of the Pacific Northwest. It's a city overrun with many problems. A wokeness problem. A homeless problem. And a progressive voter electing progressive politicians who enact progressive policy problem. Here's a story that combines all three. Cops were called when a homeless woman broke into a home and crawled into a minor's bed. She's already back out on the street without bail.

Oh, and she took her pants off for some reason. There's security footage.

Lynn Zinser is the crazy lady who found a little boy's bed to be just right. Kelsey Smith is the mother who found Zinser sleeping in her son's bed. Mike Schmidt is the woke district attorney who thinks prosecuting criminals isn't equitable.

Smith came home one day to the sounds of dogs barking. Upon further investigation, she discovered someone who wasn't her son in her son's bed. That was Zinser. Taken aback, Smith backed away to call the cops as one might do if they found a strange adult in their child's bed.

At that point [Zinser] leapt up, I recognized her as a woman. She hopped off the bed and picked up the ottoman at the foot of the bed and bum rushed me, threw it at me, and then meandered out the door.

Zinser was tracked down and apprehended by police, booked on charges of burglary and harassment. Bail was set at ZERO DOLLARS. Smith was later told by the DA's office that they were dropping charges because of the lack of sufficient evidence. It would appear the security footage of the burglary and the harassment is not sufficient.

The DA wasn't there when Smith, the mother who found a strange woman in her son's bed, called. But if she left a message, the DA might call her back.

Something has to change. I mean, something has to change. I hope that the city officials are doing something different than what they've been doing because it's not working.

Something does need to change. If only there was something voters could do in order to force that change. On a side note, it is unclear who Kelsey Smith voted for in 2020.
