It’s unclear when society became so emotionally weak that animals needed to support them with basic human emotions. Nonetheless, everyone has witnessed an individual taking advantage of this “rule” and seen cats, dogs, and all sorts of animals in places they should not be because their humans cannot support their own emotions. However, it’s not every day someone brings a miniature horse into a New Jersey supermarket but to be fair, he claimed it was for a physical disability, not a mental one.

According to the New York Post:

The unidentified shopper – filmed with his own little Mr. Ed in Woodbridge’s Wegmans supermarket – isn’t looking to stirrup trouble.

He said he has a mobility issue and needs to lean against the miniature horse — a registered service animal — when he is out shopping, according to NJ Patch.

The man said he often brings the equine into Woodbridge stores, including the ShopRite and Lowe’s, said the outlet, who first reported the story.

“I really don’t like the attention I am receiving, and I am trying to get (a video circulating on social media) down,” the shopper, who asked for anonymity, told Patch on Friday. “People have been commenting they are going to steal the horse. I am going to have to take legal action.”

I am no service animal expert but it sounds like he's mocking people by claiming he does not want attention, considering it’s pretty evident he would get attention for bringing a miniature horse to the grocery store but that is neither here nor there.

That being said, he claims the horse helps him with mobility issues when he needs to lean. And again, I am no service animal expert but I thought they invented canes for this sort of thing but I guess I could be wrong.

Additionally, is the horse really all that necessary when the market likely has those scooters with baskets?

Does he take his horse with him everywhere? Does it also go to the doctor's office that prescribed this foolish assistance animal? These must be answered before adequately assessing the situation.

If I did not know any better I would say he’s making a fool out of the system but I do know better and won’t be saying that.
