Anyone who advocates against voter ID laws wants the exact opposite of a secure election, or they are painfully racist and naive. There is no in-between. However, it’s possible to be all of the above, and that is exactly what Sunny Hostin has proven.

Hostin implied that if voter ID becomes a requirement, then Black people and women will be too stupid to figure out how to vote.

Sometimes I wonder if people that make these claims are stupid enough to believe it or if they are pathological liars, and in this case, I believe she is objectively stupid.

Firstly, this is factually incorrect. You need an ID for nearly every aspect of your life, and to claim that somehow people magically forget how to make this phenomenon occur during elections is absurd and a threat to legal votes everywhere.

Secondly, can she get any more misogynistic or racist? Why is it that she claims a certain skin color is not capable of getting an ID? There is zero evidence to support that claim, and it’s evidence of her character, or lack thereof.

Thirdly, just like with skin color, there is no evidence that women who decide to change their name after marriage are less likely to figure out how to update their identification. If one can change their name, they can get a new ID, and it’s foolish she implies otherwise.

Hostin is implying that any minor inconvenience, such as going to the DMV to prove you are who you say you are, is a threat to Democracy. In reality, there is no bigger threat than what she advocates for, and it’s deranged that she mocks a certain race and gender to prove her point, which is also extremely lacking.
