The mother of the Green New Deal, which called for the elimination of air travel to be replaced by trains, prefers air travel to trains. As outlined in her expenses in her run for Congress. Blogger Jeryl Bier combed through Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's disbursements and found the following:

A review of disbursements by the Ocasio-Cortez 2018 campaign reveals a clear inclination to choose air travel over rail for long-distances and personal vehicles over public transit for local trips.

Total disbursements to airlines totaled $20,490 to at least six different carriers for at least 39 trips. Disbursements for rail travel (Amtrak) totaled $3,147 for at least ten trips.

For short distance travel, the campaign utilized the car services Lyft, Juno, and Uber to the tune of $14,288, while disbursements for the Metro totaled $5,368.

Firstly, kudos to Jeryl for the work.

I'm a fan of air travel. I'm a fan of Uber. I'm also a fan of my own car. I can freely use airplanes, Uber, and my own horseless carriage without criticism because I've not maligned or called for the elimination of airplanes, ride sharing or private cars. The same cannot be said for socialist Barbie, the lovely and graciously bug-eyed Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has advocated for the extinction of airplanes. As a socialist, she's also a fan of public transportation. Socialists are generally fans of anything which removes a person's ability to be independent, favoring government dependence or else having people travel as a herd.

What we have here is yet another example of "Do as I say, not as I do." Rules for thee, not for me. Ocasio-Cortez would have more integrity in her calls to eliminate a major mode of domestic and international travel had her campaign not used air travel 39 times. So until Alexandria and the rest of her Democrat cohorts can lead by example, I kindly request they spare the planet the added carbon dioxide, and shut their yaps.
