Leftists have something of a soft spot for illegal immigrants. They like to think of the sombrero-clad fence-jumpers as little lost puppies, in need of a home. The rest of us see no need to inherit any more criminally-inclined welfare recipients. Especially those who come here by less than legal means. In order to protect their beloved illegals, the left established "sanctuary cities," wherein immigration laws don't apply.

None of that makes any difference to the Chief of ICE. Who's also hiring 10,000 more agents.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Thomas Homan said Tuesday that he plans on sending hundreds of agents to sanctuary cities in the near future as part of a major crackdown on illegal immigration.

Homan told Washington Examiner on Tuesday that he plans to address "ludicrous" sanctuary cities.

"In the America I grew up in, cities didn't shield people who violated the law," Homan told the publication. “What I want to get is a clear understanding from everybody, from the congressmen to the politicians to law enforcement to those who enter the country illegally, that ICE is open for business."

HOORAY!

Count on leftists to behave like petulant children. They can whine all they want. The Chief's perfectly content to fire up the steamroller. It's true that some illegals may be otherwise decent people. They're still breakers of the law, and they've got a bus to be catching. Those ICE agents are there to escort them out. Who says politeness is dead?

Illegals aren't all just innocent entrepreneurs, working to fulfill their lifelong dream of owning a taco truck. Many illegals daydream of other pursuits. Like committing murder and engaging in some rapeage. Turns out people with a proclivity to break immigration laws take no issue at breaking moral ones. Slippery meet the Baja slope.

The truth is most leftists know illegals are no bueno, but they refuse to admit it openly. Instead, they cart in as many illegal pendejos as their trucks allow, provided they don't set up their casas next door. It's all golden, so long as they stay out of leftists' gated neighborhoods. Unless the gatekeeper allows them entry to mow their lawns.

ICE busting up sanctuary cities is a move in the right direction. It's refreshing to see ICE push back against the left and reclaim their cajones. That's a good first step toward fixing our immigration problem.

The next step is for us to get started on that wall.
