ICE Director: Charge Politicians who Run Sanctuary Cities with Crimes
ICE had a pretty good 2017 (see ICE Sting Nabs 101 Rotten Illegal Aliens, Including Sex Abusers and ICE Director: Illegal Immigrants ‘Should Not be Comfortable’ Here…). Illegal immigrants, not so much. But ICE was kicking culo and taking nombres all throughout last year.
In 2018, some of those nombres may be of popular Democrat politicians.
At least, if acting ICE Director Thomas Homan has his way.
Homan, who was announced in December as President Trump's pick to permanently run the agency, went on to say that politicians enforcing sanctuary city policies need to be held "personally accountable.""We gotta take [sanctuary cities] to court, and we gotta start charging some of these politicians with crimes," he said.
His comments came during a discussion about California Gov. Jerry Brown (D), a staunch defender of protections for undocumented immigrants who in October signed a bill declaring California a sanctuary state.
Not only enforcing the law, but charging people who not only willingly break it, but flat out flaunt they're breaking it?
Should be another stellar year for ICE.
More importantly, why does it even need to be stated that politicians who are flagrantly abusing the law should be punished? For flagrantly abusing the law. Americans have been at the mercy of illegal immigrant crimes for years. Here, examples:
- ICE Sting Nabs 101 Rotten Illegal Aliens, Including Sex Abusers
- Illegal Alien Murders Family of 5 with a Hammer
- Sanctuary City Success: Illegal Rapes Woman. He Was Deported 20 Times
- Illegal Crook Rapes Two After Sanctuary State Oregon Releases Him
But Americans shouldn't have to worry about the crimes of people who SHOULDN'T EVEN BE HERE. Will all crime magically disappear with better illegal immigration laws, like the abandoning of sanctuary city policies? No. But will crime rates get better without sanctuary cities? Probably. Shouldn't we give it a shot?
