California recently flipped the bird to federal law enforcement and declared itself a sanctuary state (see Moronic California Votes to Become a Sanctuary STATE). And all the street taco trucks rejoiced. But just because California refuses to comply with Uncle Sam doesn't mean it's off the hook. ICE is hitting back!

The country's top immigration cop said Friday his agents "will have no choice" but to conduct workplace and neighborhood immigration raids in light of California's new sanctuary law.

See, California was trying to limit how much ICE could do by restricting CA officers from interacting with federal agents. For instance, immigration officers can no longer request local police to hold prisoners or detainees. It makes their job difficult. Big win for all los illegal niños. Smug Californians were pretty pleased with themselves for #resisting the mean, scary ICE agents. But it looks like all that has begun to backfire on them now.

"ICE will have no choice but to conduct at-large arrests in local neighborhoods and at work sites, which will inevitably result in additional collateral arrests, instead of focusing on arrests at jails and prisons where transfers are safer for ICE officers and the community," Homan warned.

"Ultimately, SB54 helps shield removable aliens from immigration enforcement and creates another magnet for more illegal immigration, all at the expense of the safety and security of the very people it purports to protect," Homan said.

So in other words, ICE doesn't give a spicy sh*t about California's little tantrum. They're still going to do their job. It's not their first rodeo (see ICE Arrests Over 100 Illegal Immigrants in NY. Nice going, California!
