Okay, I was first made aware of this by TRScoop. It was so aggravating I had to let you know and write about it.

In McKinney Texas, it appears that parents are teaching their children (or forcing, depending on who you ask) to burn the American Flag.

Now, why are they teaching their children to do this, you might ask? Well, it's in protest over the 'police brutality' that we covered here at LouderWithCrowder yesterday. Go read about it if you haven't already.

The short end: the cop is likely a dummy and out of line, but there was no 'brutality' to be found. My only position on the issue, is that we should wait for the facts to come in before serving justice in the court of public opinion. If you look at the responses I've received on Twitter, you'd think my position to be similar to that of holocaust-denial.

Let's look at where we are today, folks. We've gone from protesting for the right to vote (good thing!), to protesting the right to eat in equal public spaces (good thing!), to protesting... cops defending their lives (see Darren Wilson)... to protesting an officer pulling his gun out of the holster, finger off the trigger, not aiming it at anyone, in the face of teenage troublemakers.

Like we said, this cop very well may be a jackass, but even so, this is not the kind of offense that requires protest. It's a pool-party tussle for crying out loud. What's next, protesting servers at Applebee's for being inattentive with refills? – Though it is a very real problem. Systemic, really. –

Even if you do ignorantly decide to protest one lone, dumbass cop (who ultimately did no harm)... burning the American Flag? Really? This is just another example of how ungrateful people are for America. They see imperfections, and condemn the whole country.

The country which has done more for freedom, progress and human rights than any other nation, organization or hell, even any other continent ever has. Burn that flag? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you...
