California: It's raaaacist to require ID to vote, yet not for the homeless to get a luxury apartment

What has 19 professional sports teams, the most registered Republicans, and no laws requiring I.D. to vote?
If you answered California, you’re ready for a wild ride into the absurd. If you didn’t guess California, then you haven’t been paying attention.
Along with the above, California has brought us sh*t maps, Kamala Harris, and more homeless…er, unhoused…people than you can shake a stick at.
While they pretend to care about the problem, special interest groups sit back and collect fat paychecks to deal with the homelessness crisis while actually doing little to nothing about it. And, hey, who can blame them? I mean, if no one’s going to check up on you, you might pocket a few billion dollars, too.
The solution du jour is to repeat that the homeless problem is a housing problem, funneling all that sweet, delicious taxpayer money into fancy apartments that sit empty.
Including the recently opened Weingart Towers on Skid Row. At a hefty $600,000 per unit, surely this new paradise in the heart of downtown LA will be the one to save the over 75,000 homeless from living on the street.
Of course, there’s a catch.
In a state that requires no I.D. to vote (didn’t see me coming back to that, did ya?) Weingart Towers requires an I.D. and proof of citizenship to lease one of their apartments.
Don’t worry. It’s only hypocritical if you pay attention.
And it doesn’t matter. Not really. In three months, the apartments will still be empty and the homelessness bureaucracy in Los Angeles will have moved on to the next ineffective cash-grab.
It’s money laundering at its finest.
