Illegal immigration and abortion are two separate issues, absolutely. One has people invading a country for a list of reasons the left would scream at you, a list that never includes: sucking at the government teet, perpetual source of Democrat voters, raping, pillaging, murder. The other is the "choice" for a mother to dismember and vacuum her unborn child from her body.

One thing: it's problematic to claim to care endlessly about children being separated from their mommies and daddies when you're part of the same ideology and/or political party which advocates for taxpayer-funded abortions. Or any abortions.

Yes, yes, this is "whataboutism." Kind of. The narrative the left has run with -- hard -- is how much they care about families staying together. And how dare anyone use legal means to separate those children from their parents.

Sidenote: these "controversial" policies aren't even Trump's immigration policies, as Ben Shapiro points out over at Asbestos Tumblers 'R Us. The viral photo of little ones asleep in a cage wasn't from Trump's presidency. It was from Obama's. Which even this Democrat admits.

You may think Donald Trump is the second coming of a dictator with questionable choices in facial hair. But insisting these policies are Trump's is borderline functionally retarded. The ease with which these false claims are fact-checked just proves the push to demonize Trump over illegal immigrant children is purely emotional.

More relevantly, where are all these boo-hoo buckets whenever women share their heartbreaking stories about abortion? Where are these troughs of tears whenever Republicans say they want to defund Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest separator of families?

Planned Parenthood, which still receives taxpayer dollars, separates babies from mothers every day. With surgical brutality. These babies are not being stored in chain-linked cages, waiting for processing. Planned Parenthood stores their children in jars. A calvarium in one jar, legs in another. Parts shipped, and sold, separately.

The same Democrats, media submissives, and social media drones virtue signaling how much they "care" for children separated at the border, who're following the dictates of some edict from the DNC, made a misstep in their emotional calculations.

If you're opposed to this flavor of illegal immigration enforcement, because of the trauma of tearing children from parents, then you cannot stand in support of an organization which makes the majority of its income from literally tearing children from their mothers. If you think it cruel to put a living child in a detention center to await processing, then you cannot support storing dismembered children... well, anywhere. Nor can you support the practice of dismembering them for [solve for X]. If you find it unbearable to think of a mother being separated from her child or children because of some law, then you must look at Roe v. Wade in horror. A law which has separated more children from mothers than any president, or war, ever has.

Yes, as I said at the outset, immigration and abortion are different issues. But if the root of your opposition to one and support of the other is based on "But families" then you have some serious reassessment calibrations to perform in what you call a functioning brain.
