Congress is getting ready to debate immigration again. Chuck Schumer telegraphed what his plans were. But, it's going to be tough as more stories like this come up. A drunk driver killed a linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts. A driver who happens to be an illegal immigrant. An illegal who we've ICE-ed twice. In a city that, at least last year, was pushing to become a sanctuary city.

Police have confirmed that the driver who is held in the death of Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson and Uber driver Jeffrey Monroe was an undocumented immigrant who used a fake name and has been deported twice in the past.

Indiana State Police detectives have determined the driver was 37-year-old Manuel Orrego-Savala, a citizen of Guatemala. He gave police the alias Alex Cabrera Gonsales after the early Sunday crash that killed Jackson and Monroe.

"Orrego-Savala is in the United States illegally and has previously been deported on two occasions, in 2007 and again in 2009," Sgt. John Perrine said in a statement. "State police investigators are working with U.S. Federal Immigration Officials and they have placed a hold on Orrego-Savala."

It's a disgusting tragedy what happened to Jackson. My prayers go out to his family and teammates. This is one of those times where you hate to say "I told you so."

Leftists will no doubt claim the illegals' illegal-ness is irrelevant. But, if the border-hopping dickbag kept his culo in his appropriate country of residence, Jackson's parents wouldn't be short a son.

Leftists have shown time and time again they could care less if illegals send American citizens into the great beyond. They have more important priorities, like ensuring illegals get to vote "live the American dream."
