Up until yesterday, stateside mass murder and terrorism was becoming something of a rarity. All good things must come to an end. Which is why Lena Dunham is still a thing. You may have missed it amongst all the NFL millionaires taking a knee, but an immigrant mass shooter popped off at a Tennessee church during Sunday services.

Nashville Police have identified the suspect of a mass shooting at a church Sunday morning as 25-year-old Emanuel Kidega Samson.

Samson is being charged with murder and multiple counts of attempted murder in the attack that killed one and left at least seven other people injured at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Antioch, a town just south of Nashville, Tenn.

There wasn't a huge death count for a reason. Because luckily, there was a good guy with a gun on the scene who put a stop to the parishioner-capping Sudanese man.

Robert Engle, 22, an usher with the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, saw the suspected gunman, identified as 25-year-old Emanuel Kidega Samson, and jumped to stop him, according to witnesses.

Engle “physically engaged” with Samson, investigators added. Ultimately the suspect was shot, and Engle suffered a “significant injury around his head” after being pistol-whipped.

Engle then ran to his car, grabbed a gun, and held the gunman at gunpoint until law enforcement arrived, witnesses said.

The classic good guy with a gun.

Had our hero not been on the scene or unarmed, this whole kerfuffle could have turned out even worse. The killer would have been free to turn the rest of the parishioners into swiss cheese. At least until the five-o popped a cap in his ass. Instead, our man got strapped and ordered the psychopathic douchelord into submission. Saving a lot of lives in the process.

Even though we still don't know the shooter's motive, it's hard to ignore the similarities to the other churchhouse shooter, and bad haircut aficionado, Dylann Roof. Leftists won't soon let white people forget about that one. I've yet to see the same level of outrage over this incident. Could it be the shooter's melanin content and national origin don't mesh with their narrative? Sudan, from which the suspect hails, is largely Muslim, FYI.

As this case shows, not all immigrants are peace-loving people. Some of them like to rape. Some of them like to get their murder on. Like our immigrant mass shooter here. Which is why we'd prefer to exercise a little caution with our immigration system. Instead of just throwing open the doors and letting everyone in. America is a country of laws. Not a frat party with kegs of free beer. Maybe we shouldn't treat it as such.

If leftists say anything about this crime at all, it will be the same tired diatribe about how guns are of the devil and must be exorcised from Americans' possession. Except this terrorizing buttmunch was stopped with, you guessed it, a gun.
