Leftist social media giants hate Lauren Southern. Mostly because she's a meddling conservative with a large following (see Watch Lauren Southern Make a SJW Cry... with WORDS!). Instagram took a shot at Southern by banning her account yesterday morning. They had their reasons. For instance, Lauren violated their terms of service. Her crime? Poking fun at one of her portly hedgehog companions. Someone call Tess Holliday!

It appears that posting pictures of overweight hedgehogs [was] the final straw for Instagram, which suspended [Lauren Southern's] account in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The Canadian right-wing activist and commentator was banned after posting a snap of a tubby pet. Lauren has since blamed "left wing support groups" for giving her picture a red flag. She later tweeted messages from one account holder who said he had reported her for "fat shaming hedgehogs".

STOP THIS OPPRESSION AT ONCE!

Instagram is still filled to the brim with pornographic images, actual racism, and violent/graphic content. But this is the type of content Instagram chooses to suspend because the hedgehog was oppressed. By a blonde, Canadian woman who loves it too much. Get the ACLU on the phone, stat. Instagram has since apologized, telling The Sun Online its decision was a mistake.

A spokeswoman said: "We mistakenly suspended her account and we apologise for the inconvenience cause. We have restored the account."

Yeah, their finger slipped and they accidentally wiped her account from the Instasphere. Common mistake. Woopsie!

Methinks Instagram's censor happy ways have little to do with protecting the fragile egos of hedgehogs. If I had to take a guess, I'd venture Instagram was eager to rid its platform of Southern and her pesky opposing views. Which she didn't actually post to Instagram so much as showing off her pudgy hedgehogs. But the amount of backlash that followed her account's removal stirred the Insta gods to mercifully grant her access again.

So fret not, dear LwC readers. You can once more enjoy Lauren Southern's hedgehoggery on the Gram. For now.
