If you lie about guns, for fun or for a living, you're having the worst week ever. First there's Katie Couric's "creative editing" that got her gun documentary removed from the network. Now, it appears HBO's Real Sports got jammed as well. Turns out Bryant Gumbel and the gang ran a segment about the AR-15 that wasn't quite truthy.

So much so that Jim Sullivan, the inventor of the AR-15, took to the pages of The Federalist to defend himself...

The examples I most object to are: 1) When I appear to say that the civilian-model AR-15 is just as effective or deadly as the military M16, they omitted that I had said “When firing semi-auto only” and that “the select fire M16 on full auto is of course more effective”; and 2) the interviewer pretended not to understand the relevance that, due to the Hague Convention, military bullets cannot be expanding hollow points like hunting bullets that give up all of their energy in the target body instead of passing through with minimum wound effect, with most of the energy still in the bullet and wasted.

More creative editing? Say it isn't so. You would think of all the people, the media would totally give a fair, balanced shot to the creator of the AR-15.

Yes, lazy sarcasm. Situation warranted it.

What does this gif have to do with guns? Nothing. Think of it as a leftist getting caught in a lie. See. Applicable.

Also, trivia: the "AR" in AR-15 does not stand for "assault rifle." Stop that. Get thee to a search engine and educate thyself. Here, you anti-gun loons couldn't be trusted so I did it for you. You're welcome.

None of this is news. The left hates guns (read Leftists Say "Nobody's Coming for Your Guns!" Yes they are...). They hate people who have guns, love guns, use guns. Not news by any means. But here's what is news: they're being exposed. Katie Couric and her pal Bryant here, they're no longer getting away with their anti-gun running games. Because we have multiple websites across this great Internet, like The Federalist who had this story, like this site, turdmongrels like Couric and Gumbel have been caught and exposed.
