Pastor James McConnell, 78, from Co Antrim, said 'Islam is a doctrine spawned in hell' in a sermon posted online last year.

He is being prosecuted under the 2003 Communications Act for improper use of a public electronic communications network, and causing a grossly offensive message to be sent by means of a public electronic communications network. He denies the charges. McConnell made the comments in a sermon at Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle in north Belfast in May 2014.

"People say there are good Muslims in Britain – that may be so – but I don't trust them. Islam is heathen, Islam is satanic, Islam is a doctrine spawned in hell," he said.

That is what people want to put you on trial for. If this is the world people want to live in, a world of censored speech, of censored opinions, fine. Here's a caveat: show me an article on someone being put on trial for calling all Catholics child molesters, all Protestants as Westboro-like nuts, or any of the antisemitic comments that have been made towards Jews and Israel lately coming from pick-your-leftist. I'll wait...

In leftists circles, it's totally fine, even lauded, to mock Christians or Jews, the other monotheistic religions. Probably because Christians and Jews aren't known for strapping bombs on themselves to blow up innocent people. Or because Jesus was all about loving thy neighbors/enemies/your second grade teacher who gave you detention for spitting on that punk kid. Whatever, that butthead totally deserved it.

Make no mistake, censored speech is one of the leftists greatest dreams come true. They want it more than free birth control. Leftist commandments aren't so much about freedom. They're more like...Thou shalt not mock protected classes. Thou shalt not trigger feelings of thy feminists. Thou shalt not have a sense of humor. Thou shalt not mock uni-brows. Unless the unibrow is on a Christian, a white man, or a Christian white man.
