According to the realm of Twitters, today is the "International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia." There's been plenty of hashtags coined in an effort to raise awareness against all things phobia. Interestingly, there's been little awareness raised about this. The courts in Indonesia have sentenced a gay couple to tons of lashes. Not to be confused with the mink false eyelashes that are all the rage among drag queens these days.

All this comes courtesy of Sharia law, of course...

An Islamic court in Indonesia has sentenced two men to 85 lashes of the cane for having sex together, judges in the conservative province of Aceh said, ignoring pleas for clemency from human rights groups.

The sentence was more severe than the 80 lashes requested by the prosecutor.

The lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in Indonesia has faced growing pressure since high-ranking government officials last year expressed reservations about activism by its members.

Authorities in the province on the northern tip of Sumatra island caned 339 people in 2016...

When it comes to the legitimate abuse of gays' human rights, liberal butt dumplings tend to keep their kissers tightly clasped. It's rather uncharacteristic of them. Their reasoning? Possibly something to do with the fact that all these ACTUAL anti-gay cases tend to have a common factor shared among them. It starts with an "s" and ends with a "hitty Islam."

Muslim countries have a proven track record when it comes to hating on gays (see MODERATE ISLAM: Turkish Mob Kills Gay Refugee. Police Do Nothing... and TOLERANCE: Muslim Group Plans Genocide at Turkey's Gay Pride Parade). You might even say anti-gayness is a big hit over there. When it comes to violating gay rights - of all the other nations, Islamic countries have their competition rather whipped. Almost as whipped as a fashionable man-loving-man in Pakistan.
