Lefty douchenugget Eric Swalwell is trying to trying to dethrone the Donald. Little Eric is basing his entire campaign around forcefully relieving Americans of their boomsticks. Even if it means tossing the dissenters in the slammer. Or engaging in a little thermonuclear war.

Jake Tapper grilled Swalwell on his anti-gun stance, and made a surprising amount of sense:

I know you know this, but the vast majority of gun-related deaths in this country are not related to these semiautomatic assault weapons, whatever you want to call them. And the vast majority of gun owners are law-abiding citizens who have purchased these weapons legally and use them safely.

One of the most frequent attacks on this issue from President Trump and the Republicans is that Democrats want to take away your guns. But isn't it fair to say you actually do want to take away people's guns?

Whether he knows it or not, Jakey here is making a darn good case against an assault weapon ban. Scary black African American rifles of color make up only a tiny portion of gun deaths. Nixing them wouldn't do squat to turn gun deaths into a thing of the past.

If Swalwell gets his "assault weapon" ban, it won't be long before he does come for your other lead-slinging implements. When they fail miserably, lefties have a tendency to double down instead of plotting a different course of action. Methinks Eric here would be no exception.

The push for gat control is based on emotion, not facts. Despite stats showing a ban would have almost no effect on overall gun crime, lefties remain steadfast in their dumbassery. Hopefully, more people like Jake Tapper will continue asking questions which out Swalwell's plan as a giant steaming pile of suck.
