If you ever wonder why it's impossible to talk to unhinged leftists--aside from the fact that they are, by and large, absolutely unhinged--it's probably because they see everything as an existential threat. Calling a "transgender woman" a man erases their existence. Telling drag queens to not strip for children denies them their freedom to live their authentic selves. And if you dare vote in a way different than they want, you're pretty much declaring war.

I'm not saying voting is tantamount to war, but Representative Jamaal Bowman seems to think so. During an appearance on MSNBC's "The Cross Connection"--which is pretty much where all the stupid people go to say stupid things these days--he said that if the Republicans manage to retake Congress after the midterms, it's going down. "They would impeach president Biden as quickly as possible and they will continue to find ways to impeach him going forward. It would also embolden Republicans and the far-right and white nationalists across the country to begin to believe that it is their time to not just take power in the House but the Senate the White House and state houses across the country. And We've got to understand that this is a group that has been radicalized by the great replacement myth and many other things and have been pushing for violence and pushing for even civil war. So that is what's at stake right now in terms of this election."

There's quite a bit to unpack there. Now, let's set the record straight. Republicans are positioned to retake the House and the Senate, so Bowman should just come to terms with that now. As for the presidency, if Biden runs in 2024--and that's a big freakin' IF--he's not going to win. He's screwed this country harder than Kamala during a job interview. And if Ron DeSantis wins the nomination, it's pretty much a done deal--or I hope.

As far as a civil war, the only people talking about civil war are the pro-abortion radicals among HIS constituency! They literally called for war on "The Cross Connection"! The left are the ones firebombing pro-life centers and threatening to assassinate justices! Talk about a lack of situational awareness.

Someone tell Bowman here to quit drinking the kool-aid and sober up, or reality is going to clock him hard in November. And that's okay, too. I just wish our elected representatives were idiots like Bowman, I guess.
