James Corden keeps digging. The alleged "tiny cretin of a man" and "most abusive customer ever" made news this week when he was banned from a fancy-schmancy NYC restaurant. He could have been quiet, apologized to anyone he offended by being a douche when his show returns Monday, and let it be. Instead, he got snippy with the New York Times.

“I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level," says Corden, which is odd because he allegedly apologized profusely for what he did. He also claims to have not read the social media post that started the drama... which was written by the restaurant owner he apologized to.

“I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it’s so silly. I just think it’s beneath all of us. It’s beneath you. It’s certainly beneath your publication."

To recap: Keith McNally, owner of Balthazar (the fancy schmancy restaurant) went scorched earth on Corden over the douchey and entitled way he treated McNally's staff. It was over silly mistakes, like finding a dot of egg white in an egg yolk omelette.

Corden, allegedly, apologized to McNally and the owner lifted the suspension. But then the internet started doing internet things. Corden got "Ellen deGenerss'd" as people came out of the woodwork with alleged claims about what a terrible person Corden was. It included claims of Corden, who is fat, being disgusted by fat people and not wanting to look at them.

Corden announced early this year that he will be leaving his show in 2023. He tells the New York Times he might address the matter on Monday but hasn't decided.
