As the Democrats rant and rave on the one-year anniversary of the Jan 6 riot, most Americans—at least those with functioning prefrontal cortexes—have moved on. In truth, we moved on the very next day. But the left holds tightly to their cries of insurrection, lamenting the day a violent horde of MAGA hat-clad right-wingers nearly overthrew the American government with nary a weapon among them. The notion is insane, and that’s why it works for the left.

But in their desire to push such a ridiculous delusion, they fail to take into account the violence that ensued after Donald Trump was elected in 2017. If the riot at the capitol was an insurrection, why, the 2017 riots must have been a full-blown revolution! A civil war!

In the year or so following Hillary Clinton’s hilarious loss to Donald Trump, the left went through its usual parade of moronic meltdowns. The brand of annoying, grating, and cringe-worthy screams of deranged leftists has become a cornerstone of the movement since Trump took office.

As the Democrats decry the claims by Republicans that the 2020 election was stolen, that fraud was to blame for Trump’s loss, they forget that they were claiming fraud and a stolen election in 2016. So quickly do they want to sweep the Russian collusion hoax under the rug after they dragged it on for years, as it fell apart at the seams, as it was proven to be nothing more than a Clinton hatchet job!

The mainstream media continues to trot out phrases like “the big lie,” referring to the stolen election and right-wing hopes that Trump would still be elected president months later, but what did they do when their election hopes were dashed? Why, the very same thing, trotting out guests who concocted convoluted plans for how Clinton could still be put into office even after the election was finalized.

And while today the left continues to shed tears for the damages done to the capitol, those eyes dry up, unless they are tears of joy, for the havoc wreaked and mayhem perpetrated by their own acolytes in 2017.

The capitol building was damaged on Jan 6, 2021? As the Post Millennial reports, “Over 200 people were arrested during the riots. Police said that rioters damaged vehicles, ignited small fires, and destroyed multiple businesses. […] Rioters set fire to newsstands and trash cans, and at one points [sic] set what appeared to be a stretch limousine on fire.”

After Trump won the 2016 election and the left started rioting, six Metro PD officers were injured. Three of them suffered head injuries. On Jan 6, an officer executed an unarmed woman.

And while rioters who participated on Jan 6 are currently still locked up, currently having their rights violated, currently awaiting trials and eventual sentences that would have previously seemed unheard of, the reaction to Trump’s election to the presidency resulted in 205 charges being dismissed, 21 plea deals, and not a single jury conviction.

The left wants Americans to think democracy was under attack on Jan 6, but what would that mean for their own actions in 2017? Were these attacks on democracy itself? Or is the left just a bunch of ignorant political hacks out to set neighbors against each other in the hopes of sewing division and hoping to gain a few extra votes in the process?

It’s clear, the left wants to be judged by a completely different set of rules. They want to point fingers at anyone but themselves. And they want to demonize half this country. They live and operate in a delusion, and they want to brainwash you into believing it.
