You had to know it was going to happen. Jason Aldean's long-time PR firm GreenRoom PR has dropped Aldean as a client. This comes after controversy over his wife Brittany Aldean making a joke about gender and being a tomboy on Instagram. Critics say the joke was "transphobic."

His PR firm didn't mention the incident directly. But co-owner Tyne Parrish issued a statement: "Music has always been and remains The GreenRoom’s core focus, so we had to make the difficult decision after 17 years to step away from representing Jason. We aren’t the best people for the gig anymore...”

The ordeal started when Brittany made a joke on her Instagram page as she was getting herself all dolled up, saying "I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life." Two other country artists wouldn't calm down about it. Jason defended Brittany on Instagram making half-hearted comments.

Critics said Brittany's joke was "transphobic" because she was comparing her "tomboy phase" to someone wanting to transition from one gender to another. It's an odd criticism since Brittany didn't comment on someone wanting to transition. She commented on parents putting their political agenda before their child's well-being and sending them for life-altering surgery over what in many cases is a phase.

After things popped off, Brittany also responded with a new addition to her clothing line.

Jason Aldean remains one of the top stars in country music. I would like to think the country music industry wouldn't f*ck with leftist cancel culture. But while the artists themselves lean more conservative, the people who work in the industry can be every bit the leftist twats as anyone else in entertainment.
