"Nothing to apologize for": Country artists, presidential candidates defend Jason Aldean from the Left's outrage mob
The controversy over Jason Aldean's "Try That in A Small Town" has reached the next phase of the culture war. Presidential candidates defending him for it. It's not surprising since a lot of what he sings about -- what he ACKSHUALLY sings about vs what the Left is accusing him of -- are the same issues they campaigning on.
Be sure to check back to the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website later today. I'm sure Karine Jean-Pierre will be asked about it at today's briefing and she'll have an unintentionally amusing response.
Explain the "Try That in a Small Town" Controversy like I'm five
Jason Aldean released a song in May called "Try That in a Small Town" that, in his own words, is about "the feeling of a community that I had growing up, where we took care of our neighbors, regardless of differences of background or belief. Because they were our neighbors, and that was above any differences."
A video was released last week that used real news footage of the chaos taking place in America, all of which took place in progressive cities and was the result of progressive policies.
Progressives and the media (but I repeat myself) hate having their agenda challenged, so they lashed out calling it"...a modern lynching song" with "very scary" AND "racist" lyrics.
The New York City-based MTV-owned CMT pulled the video amid the controversy.
Aldean, as of this writing, is standing his ground.
Where can I see the "Try That in a Small Town" video
Sucker punch somebody on a sidewalk
Carjack an old lady at a red light
Pull a gun on the owner of a liquor store
Ya think it's cool, well, act a fool if ya like
Cuss out a cop, spit in his face
Stomp on the flag and light it up
Yeah, ya think you're tough
Well, try that in a small town

Standing his ground is something country music legend Travis Tritt encourages him to keep doing. We need to normalize telling Twitter to shut the f*ck up.
Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis, who is a bit of a country music fan himself, knows what it's like to be the target of leftist hatred. He tells Aldean to stand strong.
Another presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, also came to Aldean's defense. He also brought up the controversy involving Body Count's "Cop Killa" from the 90s. I always have that in the back of my head because, in the forty-one years since then, people still haven't caught on that their outrage over music doesn't do much other than sell MORE copies of a song they don't want people to hear. Guess where "Try That in a Small Town" is currently on the charts?
Another of their fellow candidates, former president Donald Trump, calls Aldean a fantastic guy with a great new song. He called on his fans to support Aldean all the way,
And while not a presidential candidate, I'm throwing in South Dakota governor Kristi Noem just because she is an absolute smoke show.

Jason Aldean plays Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio tonight. Gee, I wonder if he'll have anything to say about the controversy on stage. Right before he plays the song and the crowd goes insane.
